I got mine out while in the Corps, they didn't believe in general anesthesia. One stupid question though...why would you let someone video anything to do with this?

Got mine out while in the Navy since submariners can't go to sea if you still have them.  Anyways, got them removed under local anesthesia.  Not much pain, just discomfort from the guaze you clamp between your gums.  I thought the sound of the tooth breaking and the suction noise it makes when they pull it out of the socket was kinda cool.  I wouldn't have been able to experience that if they had put me under.

They put almost everyone out now ......don't get it. I had mine cut out under local anesthesia and it didn't hurt at all and it does sound cool to hear them tear out.  This world is becoming a bunch of pussies if you ask me.

I think it is just a scam . Now you have to pay a dentist and for the anesthesiologist....another example why our health care costs keep going up.

My only suggestion is that if you have a job that requires you to talk on the phone to take as many days off as possible, I had gopher cheeks and wasn't able to talk very well for about a week.

Why no pain meds? If there was ever a time for them this seems like the ideal situation haha. And also, goodluck with the future loss of lbs and whatnot. Did the procedure suck or would you recommend it? I know "somebody" that is thinking about it possibly.

I had two severely impacted. Was out for a couple hours. I don't think I was quite as bad as the video, but I remember the wife laughing at me all the way home. Could barely open my mouth for a couple weeks.

some people never recover from the surgery  they stay stupid the rest  of their life

It only needs to be done with local only the candyass need Isoflorine gas.   it seems like the younger you are when they are removed the dumber they stay.   There are a lot of people who still have them  it is no different than someone in their 30"s or later getting braces  it is all a scam and the dentists look for insurance money. the insurance will pay for the removal and you will pay for the paperclips, new shoes for the wife of the dentist  that is the hidden charges after insurance.

Had mine taken out about 30 years ago. All 4 were impacted and they had to put me under to take them out. They had to cut the jaw bone around the lower ones. Tooth, roots, and the jaw  bone around the roots all came out. They had me on some serious painkillers for a week afterwards. It was probably a month or so before I could chew on a good steak again.

Everyone reacts different but I recommend it for anyone considering doing it. I pondered this for 2 years and wish I had just done it. Dr. Schmidt in Bismarck did mine and he and his staff is the best. The most soreness I had is from where they stretched me out to do the work. And they did the full blown proceedure where they rerouted my digestive system. I eat 5-6 times a day 1/4-1/3 cup per meal. I got out of the hospital on the 20th of January and as of now I have lost a small child (-31#), I am off my BP meds and eat regular food. I am 43 yo and am not tobacco free for the first time since I was 6 yo. IM me if you want any more information.

They wouldn't give me any anesthesia because the doctor was worried I wouldn't wake up. So they did it the old-fashioned way. One nurse held my head down and the other held by arms down. Pain wasn't bad. I didn't really like the crunching and ripping noises. But it's better than not waking up…

Had mine out a few years ago.  They put me out and I was home before lunch time.

"When we step into the outdoors, we have the privilege of standing in the presence of God through the power and majesty of His creation. That makes hunting more than a sport or a hobby. It's a calling to something greater. And that transforms the places that we stand into something more than a cropfield or a pasture or a mountain. It makes that place Hallowed Ground."
