There is a reason both sell, because depending on the situation they both have times where they work best.

I much prefer hunting on the ground to trees. Mobility is #1. In a tree you are stuck in one place, wind switches or you see deer and they dont head your way, and your hunt is wasted. On the ground you can move to intercept them, or move to the other side of the apples to make the wind work in your favor again....

I personally would rather hunt out of a treestand if possible due to the increased visibility.  I will however switch to a ground blind setup depending on the situation.  I used to feel so trapped in a blind but have since gotten over that and do like them if the setup calls for it.  You do get more flexibility in setups however I like to set them up and leave them.

"When we step into the outdoors, we have the privilege of standing in the presence of God through the power and majesty of His creation. That makes hunting more than a sport or a hobby. It's a calling to something greater. And that transforms the places that we stand into something more than a cropfield or a pasture or a mountain. It makes that place Hallowed Ground."

most areas I hunt don't have a tree big enough for a stand, and I am a wuss when it comes to heights so the choice is easy for me: ground blind! ...and I've never heard of someone falling out of their ground blind and serioudly injuring themself, although I have dozed off and fell out of my chair...all that was damaged was the blind when my broadhead ripped through the wall...hahaa

I use both but I'd go with a treestand if possible but if the trees suck I would go with a groundblind so you don't get picked out
