Photo Description:
I was going to wait for him to post one of his pictures but I thought I'd take care of it for him. I'm embarrassed that I didn't get a length on it, but out of respect for the fish, we put her in the livewell once we snapped a few pics.

11 pounds and 9 ounces.

Way to go!

My goodness are they starting already?  Or was this a random while cat fishing?

No, I was trophy hunting. I just had a hunch that this one sandbar would produce. Low and behold it did. I only wish I guy could fish from shore at this spot. Well, I guess you could but the land is posted. Caught in 9 feet of water, on the upstream side of this sandbar. We also got a couple nice eaters.

I thought it was a bit early.  I have a few spots I need to scope out pretty soon.  I probably should go for a Kermit hunt this weekend.

You have a few spots? Or a few spots your old man got from Jig-em-up Guide Service?

I did a little recon on google earth and need to check them out in real life.  I know one has enough depth.  Not sure about the other.

Well keep them tight lipped! I think your dad hooked one of his friends up with a "spot" a few days after he fished with me. It produced a nice 13 pound walleye. I think the picture was blurred out so that was very nice!

Agreed.  The fish was just shy of 10lbs.  The gentleman was his best man and they fished for about 2 ours prior to his bachelor party.  My dad thanks you.

yeah, we will forever look at that fish and remember the days of our bachelor greatness and how it ended that day.  Only time I fished the Red, only fish I caught, and never plan to return.

Captian, looks like you better go fishing before little Jr. comes out screaming and ends the fall fishing and hunting season by Oct. 1.
