This hunt was so amazing and rewarding!  I want to go back every year!  Thanks to my cousin Jason Hussey (owner/operator/guide of Quarter Circle A Outfitters), Alan (guide) and Jeremy (guide).  Without you guys this could never have happened!  Thanks again!

If anyone wants to sign up for a guided trip with Jason, let me know and I can hook you up!

Nice job Stizo!!

"When we step into the outdoors, we have the privilege of standing in the presence of God through the power and majesty of His creation. That makes hunting more than a sport or a hobby. It's a calling to something greater. And that transforms the places that we stand into something more than a cropfield or a pasture or a mountain. It makes that place Hallowed Ground."

If we're not supposed to eat animals, how come they're made out of meat?

Thanks guys!  Believe it or not, this was not the herd bull.  Just one of the satelite bulls.  There are some bruisers in there!  One of our hunters took out the big boy and now all of the cows are up for grabs!  They are currently hunting with their second group of hunters and things should have heated up nicely for them as all of the other bulls will be trying to become the master bull providing lots of action for the hunters and guides!  I wish I was there to see it.

I was and still am grinning from ear to ear on the inside.  :)  I will be going on that trip again as soon as I can scrape the money together again.  Next year might be a stretch, but I won't be waiting very long.

The food was great.  We had pork chops, awesome enchiladas, beef steaks, with salads, and lots more for supper.  We were allowed to bring a few cases of beer for after the day's hunt and the scenery was spectacular.  There was a Brook trout lake within 1.5 miles which we fished at also.  One afternoon we sent one of the guides with a bear tag in his pocket on a black bear hunt on the opposite ridge as we watched with binos and brewskies.  I wil never forget those 8 days...airplanes, horses, bears, mountain lions, wolves, elk, mule deer, whitetails and more.

For the $4500 you get your gear packed up into the mountains, a wall tent with wood stove, a cot with an air mat, a sit down crapper, a hot water shower, a wall tent to eat breakfast and supper in.  They allow you to bring several cases of beer and/or soda. Your food is provided, cooked and served on real plates, salad bowls etc.  You are provided with a horse to ride daily, satellite phone for emergencies, 2-3 guides are in camp, your elk is gutted, skinned, hung, stored and flown out of mountains, and transported to the butcher. They provide good companionship and lots of stories.  You are allowed to hunt bear, wolf, elk, mule deer, and whitetailed deer, and even mountain lion.  The guides bring calls of cow and bugling and they are good at it to boot!  You hunt at your own pace.  Oh, and they take you to a place where signs of humans does not exist!  Beautiful!  If I think of anything else I will add it.  Jason has 6 open slots left for next year.  Give me a call at 701 833 3595 if you want to go on the hunt.  I can put you in touch with Jason.
