I loved Ortiz and I don't know of many people that thought it was good to let him go.

I'm one of the few people who don't get all bent about the PED stuff. I think that eventually we'll find that they were far far more common than your wildest nightmares. It was a part of the game and baseball insiders knew it. I'd say right now that there is a strong potential for use of growth hormones that can only be detected with blood testing. Surprise, baseball doesn't test blood. Wonder why?

FYI, there's a lot of talk about how Big Pappi's power numbers exploded after he left the Twins and started working out with that same Dominican guy that A-Rod was associated with. Zero proof but lots of talk right now. I think he had one year with the Twins with a slugging percentage over .500. Never below since. Hmmm.....

I don't think Busher is what you'd call an everyday player. Hell, Cuddyer wasn't an everyday player either but things work out for a reason. Buscher is a team player and he has the club house attitude. Call me small ball or whatever but it is important the ball club can have a good dugout.

Tyner was one of the guys I loved watching too. I like that type of game. Guess that's why I enjoy watching the Twins. It is fun beating the Teams that spend money and have the eye candy home run hitting pill pumpers. Or I mean boli pumpers. Or I mean it is a stubtance I am not quite sure what it was but I thought what the heck.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to the season but by how I've been keeping up I should slap myself!

I said they will win between 87-92 games that is a good season for the twins...i am just not a homer and actually watch enough baseball to know buscher is not an everyday player and never will be...if they didnt sign crede harris would have played against lefty's anyway....

posted by: mobber50. we always predict at work what the Twinkies record is going to be and i just wrote it down today i put 89-73. Depending on how the young pitchers do again and if the big boys along with Crede can stay healthy should be a fun year to watch the Twins.

I seldom agree with Simon but one thing he is right about is Buscher getting 100 RBI's with the Twins. That is funny.

Morneau had 129 last year and there were exactly 12 American league hitters with 100. Mauer had 85. Exactly how many runs do you think the Twins might score?

I think I did see him play T-ball. Not impressive. Just kidding Simon but you should have the genes to play the game.

posted by: Mad Dog. Marks is just being a twin hater. By the way... why not have a guy who bats at .300 or better batting at 5 or 6? Also 600 AB's are not out of line for an everyday starter. 22 out of the top 50 batters had over 600 plus at bats.
