So Bobkat doesn't spread some rumor that I'm all about scorching velocities, synthetic stocks, and Leupold Scopes.

What kind load are you shooting. I do believe both the 257 roberts and the 7X57 are 2 of the most overlooked cartridges ever made. The 7X57 with the right reloads and the right person behind the gun the 7X57 will stop anything that 99.9% hunt.

A friend has a 7X57 ackley and it will shoot flys at 100yds, He shoots 140 gr at some over 3000 fps and almost no recoil

the government is here to help you

drug test everyone on welfare

Will be starting load workup soon W/120gn TSX's.  There'll be a little recoil with this one as it's just a shade over 7# all up.

That stuff is called concrete.  Cement is a powder that you mix with water and aggregate.  Just thought you might like to know.

Shouldn't have looked at those pictures.  Now I have an itch to pick up something new to shoot.  Thanks horsager.

No buck tag for me this year.  I expected that so it wasn't a surprise.  I try to make it more interesting by getting 7 doe tags and not using the same rifle for two deer.  Maybe I should plan on getting another tag so I would be "forced" to go shopping.

I actually look forward to the "doe only" seasons because I get to use rifles that I would leave home if I had a buck tag.

Farnorth, I'm in the same boat, no buck tag and I do the same with extra rifles, likely that BRNO will de-life a doe this fall.

Sometimes I feel bad that some of my rifles do so much sitting around.  Especially the 700 Mountain in 7mm-08 that is my #2 choice.  Lately, I've been thinking it would be fun to have an older service rifle.  Maybe a Mosin Nagant, M1 Garand, etc.

I knew you would take it well.  The cement / concrete distinction was a pet peeve of my old shop teacher.  Absolutely a legend in North Dakota Vo-Ag circles.

Will somebody run me a drop chart for my 32-20?  I'm not positive but I'm fairly certain with a 25 ft. zero I'll need about 546 MOA to get to 50 yards.

Thanks in advance.......
