With the weather being soooooo cooperative, I've been watching some hunting shows from locations in Africa and was wondering...........

When on an African safari and hunting from a blind, why the hunters are dressed in full camoflage, complete with face paint and boots, while the professional hunters sitting right beside them are in khaki shorts, polo shirts, and deck shoes???

hmmmmm................

Probably because they're sponsered by the camo companies and they get the stuff for free.

I love when they have the camera in front of a guy crawling.    Either they have a guy in front of him or have a camera pole from behind.   Either way there is no way the camera guy could be crawling imho.

Most of those scenes are shot after the hunt is over, so the camera man probably is actually in front of the guy crawling. Actually, half of the "hunt" is shot after the kill in some of those shows. The retakes that I hate the most are when they have already found the dead animal and then try reenacting the emotional, "Oh, there he is!" moment.

Hey, Mauser save your money, and you can go to.  And we didn't do any blind hunting.  Our trackers wore black dickeys and blue shirts though.  I wore khakis and a vented safari shirt and danner boots.  if you must know.

I think he really wants to know if you wore boxers, briefs, thong or went commando

I get a kick out of it when the hunter doesn't even carry his own gun.  What a sally.

I always get a kick out of the "Pro deer hunters" who shoot bucks eating from the corn feeder 20 yards away from their blind
If everyone focused on the important things in life the world would have a shortage of fishing poles.

I haven't had cable in 2 1/2 years, and don't miss it a bit.  Hunting shows are nice to watch sometimes, but for the most part its just a bunch of phony s.o.b.'s, with their wallet being the only reason they ever get close enough to anything to kill it.  Tred Barta was about the only show that didn't get on my nerves at some point.

I say to hell with that pot o' gold.
