Those of us that never had to attend a gun safety class, those that have and to those that will be attending.

What do you think, using our field experirnces, should be addressed besides gun safety ( in and out of the field ), regulations, maintenace, sight alliment, sight picture and trigger pull.

Some my suggestions would be wildlife ID, shooting at a moving target ( large or small ), when to shoot or not, due to wheather condictions or distances, up or down hills...etc.

Just a thought that may give instructors and new hunters a heads up rather than waiting for OJT.

Hunter Education instructors are strongly discouraged from changing the course curriculum set by NDG&F Dept. The material is provided by the International Hunter Education Association and compliance with their set program and goals assures that there is reciprocity between all states and provinces in North America. The final exam is geared towards the material provided so that material should be what is taught.
