Good Point and Shoot Camera

I've owned one of these for about 6wks.  It's a great little camera with a ton of "big-camera" features.  It takes very good pics and the 14x zoom is awsome.  So far I've sweated mine wet several times in my chest pocket.  Dropped it right on the lens housing.  Gotten it below freezing and then warmed it up so that it "sweated" condensation and it's still clicking right along.  Some of the reviews complained about battery life, so far that's been a non-issue with me as it's still running on it's initial charge.

Grab it today, I thought it a good deal @ $299 when I got it, $210 is a steal IMO.

I have a cheapo Nikon point and shoot that I picked up for around $100 and that thing has never let me down. I pack it in everywhere and sit on it and freeze it and do whatever with it. I have a big DSLR but obviously I don't pack that into a spike camp with me. I can't really complain about the pictures I get out of the little point and shoot either.
Go big or go home

Unaltered photo.  Subject is 80-100yds.  You can see I'm just topping a hill and shooting through a little grass as well.  Full optical zoom:

Nice looking buck, you should have used a nice little point and shoot rifle...

Nah, no forks up front, not even crab-claws.  That was the 3rd opportunity on that buck in about an hr.

Another @ full optical zoom @ about 20yds:

I bought an Olympus Stylus-tough 3000 last year and am truly amazed how perfectly it has stood up so far. It is nearly everything-proof, taken pictures of my 9 year old underwater with it. I have had 2 Nikons point and shoot that got wet on different occasions while on a fly-in fishing trips in Manitoba. The micro-processor chip thingy cost more to replace than the cost of buying a new camera. That Canon takes a nice picture Horsager.

I have the same camera and I have also been happy with the results.

I believe Huntin Fool magazine highly rate most Canon cameras for the sportsman in the field! Many good cameras out there!

Another, untouched except to blur the face (I didn't ask if I could post it) and to size it suitable for use here:
