Now that my sand bagging is done for at least a few days I am thinking on heading down to Beaver Bay or Lanliers and wanna know if anyone in the area wants to come with? If so text me 701-220-3251. I don't care if we leave in the AM or wait until noonish or 2 to head down but this boy needs to wet a line. Anyone?

I was planning on heading down to the state line to meet my Dad and brother today but heard it wasn't worth it with all the water. they live a long ways away so didn't want them to drive forever to go on a boat ride. BUT, I do want to go fishing.

Not sure what time you will be awake. I won't text you right now. But if you get this you can text me. 701-527-4888.

What is the status of boat ramps down south, like beaver bay, prairrie knights ?  How is the water clarity on oahe and sak ?   Is there a lot of debris on the water to worry about? I too have the itch to go fishing.  I not looking for a report or hot spot just general information about the big waters so i don't waste my time driving to a area and not be able to put in.  There are some information on FB from the bait shops but nothing about oahe.  With all the flooding and cool weather seems to be quiet.  Was up to Minot last week seen a few boats on audubon but none on sak.

Hazelton ramp is usable but might have to clear some logs away and fishing last week was tough but we did scratch out a few limits. Beaver ramps are usable, not sure on how the fishing is but did see a few boats fishing in the bay. Heard PKC ramp is in good shape. Cattail is closed according to G&F website. Bowhunter and I put in at Langleirs this afternoon and went north, pulled cranks and figured we caught close to 25 or so. We had to weed through a bunch of dinks but did manage 7 keeps with the biggest at 26 1/2. Water clarity was stained, windy today and there were some nice mud lines but not a fish in them for us. There is a lot of debris coming down the lake but current isn't so bad and if your careful you will be just fine. I wont hesitate to go back.

Thanks Bowhunter for a great day.

I know Cattail ramp is closed and according to my Lakemaster chip and my depthfinder, she is almost at full pool. Even though the water is higher than last year, I fished the same spots, doing the same thing in the same fow and caught about the same fish as last year. Tried a few new spots too with a lot of dinks but it was not just fishing, it was CATCHING!!!.
We talked to a few guys last night and results were mixed, some guys were doing great while others struggled. For me I just keep it simple stupid. Use what you know works. The fish are still there, just go get em!
