I use my Lowrqnce 520c off  my boat for icefishing. I will NEVER go back to a vex. I absolutely love it. Easy to read, has that memory of the scrol on the screen, there is no guessing whats on your screen. Best icefishing move I ever made.

If u already have a graph on ur boat, don't have a flasher and are trying to decide how to spend ur money, this is an absolute no brainer... Get an ice transducer and never look back. I made the switch to a 67 or 68 ice machine bout7 years ago and then started using my 522 when my ice machine got stolen. Graphs beat flashers hands down imho.

I started using my HDS 5 about 2 years ago, I frequent both the graph and the flasher, both work very well once you get it set up right.
