Devils Lake (Overview) - Saturday, January 9, 2010

1-9-2010.

Departed Fargo.  Air Tempature -20

Clear skies prevailed when we arrived in Devils Lake.  Attempting to enter Six Mile, we found DEEP snow and got hung up.  It only took us 10 minutes to change our area of focus.

Arrrived at 'the gap" and tried 22 FOW from 9:45 to 11:00am.  We marked 1 fish, so head over to Rocky point.

Arrived at rocky point and set up in 29 feet of water.  Got set up, dropped a dead stick and down the bobber went.  A solid miss for my 1st winter bite.  My buddies iced one jumbo perch and we marked a few others.  The bite was SLOW all around us.

Head over to Irvine as we heard Walleyes were hitting during the day.  Buddies caught 3 eyes.

Was great to get out for the 1st time this year, but it was cold and slow.
