I took my nearly 7 year old daughter up to Devils Lake this weekend. She did great, as the fishing was not that good. We had to walk out to every spot as we did not utilize any trails.Highway 20 bridge produced one bite that was a slick. It broke me off at the hole. The other spot near Ft. Totten yielded some perch, but only 6" or so. This lake kicks my butt every winter, but I refuse to give up. Is it soft water season yet?
