On Monday I heard a number of around 4 inches.  But I haven't heard a lick since.  Model forecasts I need to look at more.  A fellow FBO member sent me a neat weather link of www.mountainweather.com has quick access to the weather models.

What bothers me more is the temperatures and wind.  Warm and windy = not good for roads.

Replay of last weekend I'm afraid.  Those of you wishing for warm temps need to zip it!

Osage Beach Missouri got 22" yesterday. A new record,I know that doesn't sound like much but the road departments have very little equipment to move any amounts overs 6".  It is a mess.

I was hope it quites soon for you guys.

Just trying to figure out how much plow support I may need on Larimore Dam for the ice fishing tournament on Saturday; but if they are only looking at about 4 inches then we should be good in that regards. Thanks!!!

We haven't had much for excitment regarding snow totals in almost a month.  Been kind of boring actually but now we've reached the point with ever wind we have issues with the roads.  So that is no fun.

Yeah, been reading some news headlines on this storm you mention.  A doozy!

I haven't a clue.  I am no meterologist but the models I linked to are inconsistent as heck.  So I have no idea what is coming nor does the NWS really.  Will have to wait more until Thursday night-ish to really have a decent idea.  Maybe even Friday.  I do not like the mention of freezing precipitation...

Yeah the temp thing scares me too.  I'm happy in the high of 20 degrees area.  The wind was a big issue this morning again between MInot and Berthold.  It is the wind time of the year again though so might as well get use to it.

Looks like 2 inches of snow for most of ND, starting around midnight of the 4th.  Right along the canadian border around the Turtle Mts could be up to 4 inches. The worst is going to be the 35 to 40mph winds in Western ND

everything I've seen has been 2-4 across the state...which scares me because we know that is not accurate...

I don't even see mentions of snow fall totals.  So I don't think they want to say anything until models start diverging on a similar answer.

The bottom-line is there definitely is some disturbances that will be rolling through.  I do not like the wind forecast.  Might have to just stay home from the ice derby this weekend.

The latest for the west.  Not sure on the east. I never seem able to track down the ECMWF models so I just take the NWS word for it.  Anyone have a link to that model run???

THE 12Z RUN OF THE ECMWF WAS PREFERRED OVER THE GFS/NAM...BUT THE
LATEST 18Z NAM RUN APPEARS TO BE MORE IN LINE WITH THE ECMWF. THIS
BOOSTS THE CONFIDENCE IN THE ECMWF SOLUTION.

ON FRIDAY MORNING A RELATIVELY SMALL BUT FAST-MOVING SHORTWAVE MOVES SOUTHEASTWARD ACROSS EASTERN NORTH DAKOTA...SO KEEPING A CHANCE OF PRECIPITATION OVER EASTERN COUNTIES. TEMPERATURES PROFILES INDICATING FREEZING RAIN OR SNOW WITH THE WARM ADVECTION ALOFT AND MIN TEMPERATURES IN THE MORNING MAINLY IN THE 20S. MEANWHILE ANOTHER SHORTWAVE APPROACHES WESTERN NORTH DAKOTA FRIDAY MORNING BRINGING A CHANCE OF SNOW OR FREEZING RAIN TO WESTERN COUNTIES IN THE MORNING...AND RAIN OR SNOW IN THE AFTERNOON WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES REACHING THE LOW TO MID 30S.

FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT A BROAD UPPER LEVEL TROUGH DIVES SOUTH FROM WESTERN CANADA ACROSS THE US ROCKIES AND NORTHERN/CENTRAL PLAINS. THIS SCENARIO WILL MEAN A PROLONGED PERIOD OF LIGHT SNOW WITH ONLY LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS THROUGH THE WEEKEND. HOWEVER...NORTHWESTERLY WINDS ON SATURDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT WITH A SURGE OF COLDER AIR...AND ANOTHER SURGE OF COLD ADVECTION ON SUNDAY MAY BRING DRIFTING SNOW - AND PERHAPS SOME AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW - THROUGH THE WEEKEND. TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TO DROP TO 10 TO 15 ABOVE SATURDAY NIGHT...AND REMAIN IN THE TEENS ON SUNDAY...ONLY TO DROP TO 5 TO 15 BELOW ZERO FOR SUNDAY NIGHT. HIGHS MONDAY ZERO TO 5 BELOW WITH BELOW AVERAGE CONDITIONS LINGERING INTO MID-WEEK.

Holy cray. I didnt even know it snowed in Missouri. 22" in one day is insane. We very rarely get that much in one day here, If ever.

I see the mid and NE parts of Missouri have quite a snow pack.  How much of that heads into the Missouri I do not know.  If it does, um yeah, gonna be high water year for the lake again!

Pain the snow on the roofs of the boat docks and I mean there are miles of mental roof docks  are now going down forcing the boats on the lifts down under the water. This is going to coast thousands of dollars.

The UM in Columgera which is 80 miles north of me has closed now for 3 days.  The bank that my wife is a officer at has been closed for 2 days along with just about everything else.

We don't have the equipment to move this snow only  trucks with blades.  I ran a road grader today for the Co here and it is an uphill battle.  The snow here is wet and not easy to push.

You need to realize is that the roads here are either going up or down or around a curve, They are narrow and have trees right up to the edge of them.

We will have lows here tonight below O and will set new records.

Yes Tim runoff will be a problem,I live next to the Osage River and if empties into the Missouri.  The levels of the Lake of the Ozarks are contolled by the Truman Dam.
There are homes that are with in 8  feet of the waters edge for many miles.
